The sinusoidal later tsunami phases that arrived in Hakodate between 7.5 and 9.5 h after the earthquake were investigated. Snapshots of the tsunami height distribution were taken 460, 480, 505, and 534 min after the earthquake (red lines) and were analyzed (Fig. 4)
