The correlation coefficient was calculated in each grid cell of the study area from the annual mean values in each treated simulation (nine values per grid cell). It represents the influence of snowfall on surface runoff (Panel a) and of rainfall on subsurface runoff (Panel b). Correlations are only plotted in the grid cells where statistical significance exceeds 5%
