Oceanographic circulation in summer around Japan. The CbCS (white circle) is located in the middle of the Boso Peninsula, central Japan. Positions of major ocean currents are based on Brown et al. (2001). Ocean temperature gradients are from World Ocean Atlas 2013 (Locarnini et al. 2013), which was drawn using Ocean Data View software (Schlitzer 2015).
