Locations of the studied areas, along the Yoro River, Yanagawa, Urajiro, Chiba section, and Kokusabara construct the Chiba composite section (CbCS). The basemap is from 1:50,000 “Ootaki” topographic map published by the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI). Detailed locations are shown in Suganuma et al. (2018). Samples shown in BSCH, BSKD, BSKM, BSUS, BSOD, YORG, and HRSG were used by Sato et al. (1988) and Sato (1989). The location of “the JNOC TR-3” is also shown
