The LPR data are treated as a linear signal system. Fourier transformation and Inverse Fourier transformation are used to transform the signal system from time domain to frequency domain (Rabiner and Gold, 1975). In the time domain, the received signal y(τ) is derived based on the convolution between the transmitted signal x(τ) and that of the loss medium r(τ). In the frequency domain, the amplitude spectrum of the received signal Y(f) equals the product of the amplitude spectra of the transmitted waveform X(f) and the loss medium R(f)
