Calculated mineral norms for Atlantis Bank gabbros, and average Hole 735B compositions from whole-rock data using the method of Grove et al. (1992a, 1992b). The cotectic lines in the uppermost figure represent the 1 atm olivine-plagioclase-augite-melt saturation boundary based on SWIR basalt glass, thus indicating that these gabbros generally do not have a simple liquid composition and are therefore cumulates. Lower panel shows plagioclase-clinopyroxene-oxide plot for reference
