All the measured values are divided by the initial value measured before the specimens were immersed in the salt solutions. Records of longitudinal wave velocity from 80 to 120 cycles went missing because of mechanical trouble. The solid line, dotted line, and dashed line represent the results for Oya tuff, Aoshima sandstone, and Ubara sandstone, respectively. The symbols correspond to the following combinations: filled circles, NaCl; triangles, Na2SO4; squares, MgSO4; open circles, no salt (distilled water)
