Partition coefficient between fluid and melt of total H2O, KH2Of/m, as a function of temperature. The least squares straight line fit is, KH2Of/m = −0.6 ± 0.2 + 782 ± 189/T, r2 = 0.85. Also shown are data from natural samples by Webster et al. (2014) and from experimental data in silicate–H2O from Mysen (2014). The least squares fit through the data of Mysen (2013) yields the expression, KH2Of/m = −0.3 ± 0.1 + 782 ± 920/T, r2 = 0.97
