Backscattered electron images for the samples recovered from high pressure and high temperature (Run No. OS3099). In Mg90, a quenched melt was found at the hottest region surrounded by bridgmanite (Bdg), which is interpreted as the liquidus phase. In contrast, CaSiO3-rich perovskite (CaPv) was found to be segregated in Mg75. We failed to find the melt. The subsolidus phase assemblage was observed at the central (cold) part of both samples
