Evolution of crystallization regimes in Ganymede’s core. Evolution of the core state for four bulk core sulfur contents and CI chondritic heat production. The model with 4 wt.% sulfur passes through a period with an Earth-like core evolution prior to beginning precipitation of Fe snow. With increasing sulfur content, crystallization starts later because of the lower melting temperature and commences directly with Fe snow until a solid inner core starts to grow (after Hauck et al. 2006)
