Comparison of the cloud amounts simulated by using different turbulent models to the satellite observation. The comparisons of the cloud amounts from the ISCCP satellite data, level-2, level-2.5, and level-3 MYNN turbulent schemes were obtained by using the 14Â km mesh NICAM. The NICAM data shown are averages during 29 July 1982 and 15 August 1982, and that of the satellite observation are the climatology for July and August.
