Error reduction ratios of CO₂ flux estimates for each month. They are derived by the same settings of Niwa et al. (2017b), but with the GOSAT-1 SWIR data for 2010. The error reduction ratio is defined as \(\frac{{\sigma }_{\mathrm{pos}}-{\sigma }_{\mathrm{pri}}}{{\sigma }_{\mathrm{pri}}} \times 100\), where \({\sigma }_{\mathrm{pos}}\) and \({\sigma }_{\mathrm{pri}},\) respectively, represent the posterior and prior errors. This represents observational constraints. Here, the observation model mismatch uncertainty is assumed as 2 ppm for individual SWIR data
